About Attic Stair Installs

Attic Stair Installs was founded by Latisha Kaye from Southern Buildworks after seeing how many homes had unused roof space going to waste simply because it was hard, awkward, and often unsafe to access.

We’re talking about lifting heavy boxes up dodgy ladders, squeezing everything through a tiny manhole, and avoiding the roof space altogether because it’s just too much of a hassle.

What started as an extra service through Southern Buildworks quickly became a busy part of the business, so Attic Stair Installs by Southern Buildworks was created as a dedicated service for attic stair bookings across Christchurch and Canterbury.

Backed by Southern Buildworks & Licensed Building Practitioner, Dan with over 18 years of building experience, and Latisha, with over 3 years in the building industry. We provide tidy, practical attic stair installations that make roof storage safer, easier, and far more usable.

Every install is carried out with proper building knowledge, care, and attention to detail. Not just a quick “cut a hole and chuck in a ladder” job.
