Flooring Additions
Attic flooring is a great way to turn unused roof space into practical storage. We generally install around 8m², which is usually enough for most homes, but some people choose to increase this to around 12m² if they have a lot more to store.
It gives you a safer, tidier space for boxes, Christmas gear, suitcases, and all the “I’ll deal with that later” stuff.

How long does attic stair installation take?
Most installations around Christchurch can be completed in just a day, but sometimes they do take two, depending on what is required and our workload.
Do you remove and tidy up all rubbish?
Yes, tidy finish is a big part of the service. All offcuts, packaging and debris are cleared away at the end, leaving your home as clean as I found it. No extra charges ... tidy up is included in my pricing.
What is needed to book an attic stair install?
Get in touch with your location, ceiling height if known, and a few photos of your current manhole or the area where you’d like attic access. A roof-space photo is also helpful. From there, we can usually confirm whether it suits an attic stair install and provide the next steps.

Are attic stairs suitable for all Canterbury homes?
Most Canterbury homes can have attic stairs fitted, especially with standard ceiling heights up to around 2.9m. Every roof space is checked first to make sure there is enough room, suitable framing, and safe access for the install to work properly.
For higher ceilings or more awkward roof spaces, we can talk through the best option before confirming the quote.
